CHECK-IN GUIDE

Insight 1/4

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

MET is a domestic airport, meaning all our flights operate within Canada. Check-in requirements may vary depending on your airline, but the following information will help ensure a smooth start to your journey.

Insight 3/4

TRAVELLING WITH PETS

If you’re travelling with a pet, check with your airline for details on their pet policies. Some airlines allow small animals in the cabin, while others require them to travel in the cargo hold. Passengers must comply with airline regulations, and we recommend arriving early to ensure a smooth check-in process.

For your pet’s comfort before departure, a designated relief area is available inside the terminal.

Insight 2/4

CHECK-IN & CONNECTIONS FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

Most airlines offer multiple check-in options: online, through a mobile, at self-service kiosks, or directly at the airport check-in counter. To save time, we recommend completing your check-in online before arriving at the airport.

For flights within Canada, passengers are generally required to check in at least 90 minutes before departure. If you have checked baggage, allow extra time to drop it off at the designated counter.

For connecting flights, check with your airline to confirm whether your baggage will be automatically transferred to your final destination or if you’ll need to collect and recheck it along the way.

To ensure a seamless check-in, have your boarding pass and identification ready, and verify baggage allowances and restrictions with your airline. Be sure to arrive early enough to complete check-in, drop off your baggage, and pass through security. A little preparation goes a long way in making your departure from MET as smooth as possible.
