MET – Montreal Metropolitan Airport is proud to share its beautiful large gardens with passionate farmers who grow soybeans and hay on nearly 65% of its land at no cost.
The presence of wildlife at an airport can disrupt airport operations and, therefore, pose a safety risk.
In accordance with the standards and regulations issued by Transport Canada, the MET has established a wildlife management plan, in particular to eliminate the number of collisions between wildlife and aircraft.
MET’s wildlife management plan is based on an inventory of all species living on the airport’s territory and an analysis of their characteristics and behaviours.
